25 Steps To A Successful Twitter Party | @thestaufferhome | #thestaufferhome | #twitterparty | #howto |

I recently became an overnight expert in “HOW TO” on Twitter Parties. They are actually quite simple, fun, and easy. They bring you exposure, the company you are working with exposure, and the connections that you make are very valuable. However, so many bloggers don’t know how to conduct a GOOD twitter party. So here I am to walk through step by step on the “HOW TO” of Twitter Parties!

Step one:
You are going to pitch a company for:
A. A review and Twitter Party
B. A Twitter Party Only
C. A Twitter Party, Review, and Giveaway

Step Two:
You are going to prepare for your twitter party and communicated with the brand liaison. These questions should be questions that engage your followers, and future customers of the brand. They should require some response and of course be 140 characters or less. I always collaborate with the brand liaison to make sure there aren’t specific questions that they want answered. I would pre type these questions up in a note section, sticki note on the imac, or word document. The twitter party is going to be going super quick and you won’t have time to type.

Step Three:

Schedule your twitter party

Step Four:

Create a giveaway form, this type.
Do not do a rafflecopter. I used rafflecopter forever and it was so hard for me to run. Oh, and I entered a few giveaways ran by rafflecopter and it is not user friendly for those entering either. So trust me and use this one.
Make sure that you have them do a minimum of follow your social media networks and the brands social media networks. Then the most important one is to have them “Tweet” something. Like this.

” I am RSVP’n to the (brand here) #twitterparty hosted by @ (your handle here) on (enter date here) at (enter time here) # brand specific hashtag ”

Seriously though leave rafflecopter, and all other giveaway tools. This is the way to go. You don’t have to pay for pinterest, instagram, blog comments, blog posts, or any extras. It is amazing!

Step Five:
From here on out it will be mostly pictures to show the step by steps. Please, be sure to ask any questions. I want you to be successful in this.

Step Eight:
Welcome everyone to the #twitterparty. Make sure they are following your page and the brand. Make sure they know to use the correct # for each answer.

Step Nine:
Always give a short and sweet facebook shout out for the brand…

then yourself…

Step Ten:
Start with Q1 and work towards your end question. How to determine how many questions to ask during a twitter part? Answers here.

Those trying to win should be answering like the below followers are. You should retweet 1-5 in between each question. Sometimes you won’t have time to do this. If the twitter party is hopping at least retweet one answer, and reply to another answer.

If a twitter party participant asks a direct question be sure to answer, do NOT ignore. If you don’t know the answer which you probably wont, and even if you do the BEST response is. “@ person who asked question that is a great question!! I am sure @ brand will be able to give you a GREAT answer for that! #twitter party hashtag here”

Step Eleven:

Step Twelve:

Step Thirteen:
After the third question has been answered you will post a blurb about announcing the #earlybirdprize asking them to RT if they think it will be them gets you and the brand great exposure.

Step Fourteen:

Announce the #earlybirdprize. I always use a picture from my giveaway tool. (Seriously sign up! It’s free) I don’t know that pictures on twitter get you more exposure like they do on Facebook but it is nice to post an image one – two times a week. Two checks on the to-do list at one time…Winning!

Step Fourteen:

Answer one of the items yourself. The followers and brand liaison need to know that you aren’t a robot. You are a real person thrilled to be doing a twitter party with them.

Step Twenty-Four:

Screen Shot 2015-02-19 at 8.38.09 PM

Step Twenty-Five:
Announce your winners!! Some people do this throughout the entire twitter party but I don’t like to do that, and I honestly don’t have time during the twitter party to do it. Trust me if the people have interacted throughout the entire twitter party they are going to hang around to see if they won. Secondly, you can always mention them in a tweet that says “@winners name here check out this blog post to see if you won! ”

I will always do it this way because it gets you amazing views on your blog post and more exposure for the brand you are working with.

Step Twenty-Six:

Make sure to go back to twitter and write a few more tweets.
-Thank the brand for sponsoring said twitter party and ask followers to thank them again too.
-Thank the followers for participating in your said twitter party and inform them of your next twitter party scheduled.
-Type a tweet for each winner (if multiples) “@ winners name here Congratulations! Check out this post to see what your prize is!”
